Mukta Ghatge is the creative force behind KnitKnitKnot. Originally from Maharashtra, India, she now resides in the Bay Area, California, with her husband and two young children, aged five and one.
In a previous avatar, Mukta was a dietician, but her passion for knitting has now taken center stage. She loves to travel and meet new people, finding inspiration in the world around her for her adorable, handmade creations. She currently works as a pre-school teacher.
Fabric Care Instructions
- Hand Wash Only: Use cold, soapy water to gently clean the wool without damaging the delicate fibers.
- Handle with Care: Never wring or twist the beanie to remove excess water, as this can stretch the knit out of shape.
- Skip the Heat: Do not put the beanie in a dryer. High heat can cause wool to shrink or become brittle.
- Air Dry Flat: Lay the beanie on a clean, dry towel and reshape it while damp to ensure it stays the perfect size.

Each beanie is a labor of love! When knitting in a single, focused session, it takes approximately 4 hours of hand-knitting to complete one piece from start to finish.
Do you ship throughout the United States?
Yes, I am happy to ship my handmade beanies anywhere within the US. Please note that shipping costs are calculated at checkout and are covered by the customer.
How soon will my order arrive?
Because each beanie is custom-made only after an order is placed—and because I am also busy raising two young children—please allow 3 to 4 weeks to receive your order. This timeframe accounts for the hand-knitting process as well as shipping transitions. I appreciate your patience and support of my small business!
